Lemon–Orange Chicken



Makes 6 servings

Ingredients


■  1 chicken, cut into pieces or left whole
■  2 oranges
■  3 lemons
■  Dash dried rosemary
■  Dash dried parsley
■  Dash paprika
■  Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
■  6 whole garlic cloves
■  ½ cup diced shallots
■  ½ cup white wine

Instructions


Place the chicken in the slow cooker. Squeeze the juice from 2 oranges and 3 lemons over the chicken. Season with the rosemary, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the garlic and shallots and pour in the wine. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the chicken is falling-off-the-bone  tender and the juices run clear.
